MBatch Omic Browser
Overview | |
Description | The MBatch Omic Browser provides a user friendly platform that allows to view and download publicly available omic data from Genomic Data Commons (GDC) and Metabolomics Workbench (MW) in a standardized format that can be readily used for various analysis. Also, it provides quantitative and visual means for users to identify and quantify the amount of batch effect present in a given data set. |

MBatch Omic Browser (MOB) is an interactive web resource designed to provide simplified access to omic data and features integrated batch effects assessment/correction. It aims to overcome challenges in data retrieval and preprocessing to ease omic research. MOB hosts all gene-level data from US NCI’s Genomic Data Commons (GDC) and metabolomics datasets from Metabolomics Workbench (MW). To harmonize access across repositories, MOB downloads, format converts, integrates, and provides data to users in a ready-to-use, simple matrix format, with associated clinical/metadata. It supports batch effects assessment for all GDC datasets and hosts batch effect corrected data. Additionally, users can visualize/analyze both original and batch-corrected data using many different interactive plots. MOB also offers version-controlled data for reproducibility and an R API for downloading data. By reducing preprocessing burdens and enhancing data quality through batch effects correction, MOB facilitates omic research.
Expanding beyond GDC data, users can access metabolomics data sourced from the Metabolomics Workbench.
Compatible with major web browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge).
